We don't publish an "ideal level" — nobody can promise one. Flood water is dangerous: if it's up and coloured, stay well back from the edge. Open River Ready
The lowdown
- This is a managed private-park stretch on the navigable Warwickshire Avon, tucked into the Avon Park/Rayford Park complex.
- Kingfisher Lodge sits right beside the river, while Daisy Lodge is set a little further back but still gets river views. Handy if you fancy a proper riverside base.
- The park provides private fishing pegs, although the number of pegs and the exact swim layout aren’t published. So, no need for a day-ticket faff, but it’s park users only.
- Fishing is available from the riverbank during the official season, which runs from 16 June to 16 March. That gives you the classic close-season break to plan around.
- The named fish list is a decent Avon mix: pike, zander, bream, roach, dace and chub. Plenty there for a bit of predator fishing, trotting or a feeder session.
- For methods, the river lends itself to working the flow and picking out features from the pegs. Trotting, feeder work and lure or deadbait approaches are the obvious angles, depending on conditions and target fish.
- A bit of colour and a steady push of water should be worth watching for. The Avon is navigable here, so expect a proper river feel rather than a stillwater-style plod.
- It’s a cracking setup for a short break, with the riverside bar and restaurant, play area, crazy golf and a river taxi service on site. The taxi is weather-dependent and charges apply.
- Private parking is provided with the lodges, and Tiddington village is within walking distance. The official lodge booking page gives a two-night minimum stay, with prices starting at £235 per night for two nights.
- We're not sure on ticket prices for this one — check with the club or local regulations before you leave.
Methods: Match the approach to the river and the fish showing. Trotting and feeder fishing suit the mixed coarse stock, while pike or zander anglers can focus on predator methods within the park’s rules.

- Fishing is included free for holiday-park guests.
- A personal rod licence is required.
- The official fishing season is 16 June to 16 March.
Coarse fishing on English rivers is closed from 15 March to 15 June inclusive. That's the law for coarse fish on rivers — it's not a club rule, and game-fishing seasons work differently.
