We don't publish an "ideal level" — nobody can promise one. Flood water is dangerous: if it's up and coloured, stay well back from the edge. Open River Ready
The lowdown
- This is one of Kinver Freeliners Angling Club’s Severn venues, with the adjoining Northwick section also under KFAC control. It’s club-water territory, not a quick pay-and-fish stop.
- The river here includes Bevere Weir, Bevere Island and the channel running towards Bevere Lock. Properly defined features, though the checked details don’t give a swim count or stretch length.
- Bevere Island is out of bounds to both members and guests. Keep that firmly off the plan and stick to the permitted banks and swims.
- The short bit between the two metal swing gates below Bevere Weir is not controlled by KFAC. Don’t assume the whole run below the weir is club water.
- Fishing is also permitted in the Northwick section below the most southerly swing gate. That adjoins Bevere, so make sure you’re clear which section you’re fishing.
- Night fishing is permitted on both Bevere and Northwick. Handy if you fancy settling in properly, but the Bevere car park still has strict arrival and departure times.
- The Bevere car park is tiny, with room for four vehicles. Members must not arrive before 05:00 or leave after 23:00. If it’s full, park elsewhere.
- Only KFAC members may park there, and guests must share transport with a club member. A KFAC parking sticker needs to be displayed, and the access gate must be shut and secured.
- There’s no published Bevere peg count, length or venue-specific species list. So the sensible approach is to check the swim and conditions on the day rather than turning up with a rigid plan.
Methods: The checked details don’t specify a preferred method, depth or seasonal approach for Bevere. Match the approach to the river and swim you find, while keeping within the club’s rod and venue rules.

Coarse fishing on English rivers is closed from 15 March to 15 June inclusive. That's the law for coarse fish on rivers — it's not a club rule, and game-fishing seasons work differently.
