Nearest EA gauge we've matched — it isn't on this stretch, so levels on your peg will differ.

We don't publish an "ideal level" — nobody can promise one. Flood water is dangerous: if it's up and coloured, stay well back from the edge. Open Stanford Bridge on Live River Levels

The lowdown

  • This is a cracking bit of River Teme country, running through the rural Teme Valley around Lindridge, Eardiston and Puddleford.
  • The big draw is specimen barbel. Chub, bream, roach and grayling are also named for the stretch, so there’s more than one way to enjoy a session.
  • It’s BAA water, but fishing immediately in front of the mill is not included. Worth keeping that little detail firmly in mind before settling into a swim.
  • There’s no published total length or peg count, so don’t expect a neat numbered-peg setup. The official details describe several access points instead.
  • The main Lindridge car park sits in a field opposite the turning to Woodstone Manor. The nearby postcode is WR15 8JG, with BAA giving coordinates 52.317897, -2.483232.
  • A middle car park is reached through a gateway and down a track, with parking near the river. The Lindridge route also allows roadside parking by the church or in the lay-by opposite Woodstone Manor.
  • For Eardiston, turn off the A443 onto Mill Lane. The car park postcode is WR15 8JQ, and the stated coordinates are 52.316353, -2.473931.
  • Access gates are locked, and the code comes with your BAA membership card. That’s one bit of faff sorted before you leave home.
  • The water is members-only, with no public day-ticket price stated. Night fishing is not permitted, so sessions need to stay within daylight hours.
  • We're not sure on ticket prices for this one — check with the club or local regulations before you leave.

Methods: The named draw is specimen barbel, with chub, bream, roach and grayling also listed. Keep the approach suited to the river and follow the association’s access and fishing rules.

  • No fishing at night.
  • Access gates are locked; the code is supplied on the BAA membership card.

Coarse fishing on English rivers is closed from 15 March to 15 June inclusive. That's the law for coarse fish on rivers — it's not a club rule, and game-fishing seasons work differently.
