Hambarn is the bigger of BADAC’s two Blunham stretches on the middle River Great Ouse, with around 70 permanent pegs. It’s a proper bream venue, with big shoals that can get on the munch and produce bags of 100lb.

Blunham Spinney is a cracking members-only stretch on the Great Ouse, run by Barnet and District Angling Club. Willow shade, plenty of cover and four to five feet of water make it a proper all-year venue, with both good bags and the odd chunky fish on the cards.

A cracking 1.5-mile bit of the River Great Ouse between the Felmersham and Sharnbrook area, run by MKAA under an arrangement with Letchworth and DAA. It’s medium paced, with regular double-figure roach bags, chunky perch and chub, plus the cheeky chance of a proper barbel.
